Located in the center Marseille, between the prefecture and the Cours Julien, the ancient school Saint Thomas d’Aquin extends over 4,500 m2. This remarkable XVIII century building is on the list of historical monuments since 2013 and in 2015 has been transformed into an incredible art space that will be opened to public on June 10th!
It is in this school, closed since 2012, that the JUXTAPOZ Association has chosen to coordinate an artistic residency. The exhibition, punctuated by various interdisciplinary events will be open to public from 10 June to 10 October 2015.
Alexandre Alessio, the artistic director of the event, has selected forty artists to transform classrooms and courtyards into an amazing art space. Issued from the 9eme concept artist collective, Alexandre Alessio has imagined an original scenography around 2500 m2 of exhibition area.
